Education

Jim’s education career spans over 13 years with one-on-one, classroom, and clinician experience with students at all levels. He’s worked with the Crane School of Music at SUNY Potsdam (2021) as well at NYU Steinhardt (2014-15) as an adjunct instructor.  His studio ranges from students at the beginning of their playing experience to undergraduate music majors looking to supplement their classical lessons.

Jim is passionate about private lessons and working with individuals on their particular strengths and weaknesses.  He specializes in jazz, funk, and classical saxophone, and improvisation on any wind or single voice instrument.

Students are regularly scheduled for one lesson per week at a monthly rate, but other arrangements can be made.  Remote and in-person lessons available.  Contact him today for more information about policies and pricing.
